Mortiz Götze
About
|
Moritz Götze was born in 1964 in Halle (Belgium) and graduated in 1983 as a master furniture maker. Till 1995 he worked in a graphical studio. Götze can be described as an artist of 'stories and myths', influenced by pop-art, comics and classic book illustrations from the Middle Ages. This results in clear compositions, with a strong complexity and depth, emphasized through the use of primary colors. His predilaction for mosaic and ename is also reflected within his works. Since 2000 his work is more and more polictically inspired with links to socialism, the German society and the inner urge to the East. |
